The antiseptic and antimicrobial action of Calendula can help speed up healing of wounds and minor cuts and also help relieve insect bites and acne. Skin issues such as eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis can be soothed with topical application of Calendula. Lavender essential oil has antiseptic properties, it can reduce healing time and decrease the appearance of scars by increasing cell growth.
Skin cells are dependent on the mineral Zinc. There is 6x more zinc found in the upper layers of skin than the lower levels. Zinc reduces the formation of damaging free radicals and protects skin.
